Achieve your desired smile

Dental Hygiene

Our Registered Dental Hygienists and Dr. Klym will assess your individual needs at our initial visit through clinical examination, x-rays, and periodontal measurements (measurements of pocket depths between the tooth and gums). Based on their findings, a treatment plan and/or hygiene schedule will be recommended and together you will determine what suits you best.

At Klym Dentistry, gone are the days of amalgam (silver) fillings! If the need arises for a restoration/filling, a composite material that is carefully colour matched to your natural tooth is used to make the correction barely noticeable. Special requests for ceramic, gold, porcelain, and zirconia restorations can be addressed also.

Root canals are used as a means of saving an infected or dying tooth. They are conveniently performed in office and provide patients a viable alternative to extractions. Some cases may require referral to an endodontist as part of the team approach to ensure best outcome possible.

A crown is a protective casing that is recommended to be placed over teeth that have large fillings without much remaining tooth structure left, and teeth that have received root canal treatment. The casing is fabricated by the lab based on impressions of your existing teeth and custom designed by the dentist to match the size, shape, and colour of your teeth so that the treatment is barely noticeable and the treated tooth is protected.

A bridge is an appliance that replaces a missing tooth by anchoring an artificial tooth between the two healthy teeth on either side of the gap. The bridge is fabricated based on impressions of your existing teeth and custom designed by the dentist to match the size, shape, and colour of your natural teeth so the treatment is barely noticeable, the gap is closed, and function restored.

Laminate Veneers

A veneer is a thin covering over the visible area of a front tooth that is custom designed by the lab based on impressions of your existing teeth and fabricated to match the size, shape, and colour of your natural teeth.

Veneers are done mainly for aesthetic and functional reasons including, but not limited to, correcting spaces between the teeth, covering permanently stained or discoloured teeth, and fixing mishappen teeth.

Dental ImplantsDental Implants

A dental implant is a fixed solution for replacing one or several missing teeth by attaching a crown, bridge, or denture construction to a device that is surgically implanted into the jaw.

While we do not perform the surgical placement of the implant in office, we do have great working relationships with qualified implant surgeons. Once the implant has been placed, Klym Dentistry will complete the final appliance that will attach to the implant site.

A sealant is a BPA free plastic that is placed as a protective barrier on the biting surface of teeth with deep grooves and/or pits. Sealants are most often placed on children’s permanent molars as they erupt to protect these growing teeth from premature cavities. Deep grooves and pits are a haven for bacteria and can often cause decay in teeth since the toothbrush cannot reach these pitted areas.

Wisdom teethWisdom Teeth Extractions

Wisdom teeth are typically the last teeth to erupt and earned their name as they tend to come in when nearing adulthood. If wisdom teeth do not have the appropriate room to erupt in the mouth they can cause an array of problems including, but not limited to crowding, impaction, partial eruption.

Dentures are a removable appliance to replace one or multiple missing or damaged teeth. The denture is fabricated based on impressions of your existing teeth, and custom designed by the lab to match the size, shape, and colour of your natural teeth. We work closely with our lab to ensure you get the most natural and comfortable fit!

Custom Mouth Guards

A mouth guard (sport guard) is made in-house and is an important piece of equipment for anyone involved in activities that could result in injury to the mouth. A custom mouth guard is designed to fit comfortably and provide the best protection over store bought alternatives. These appliances are customizable, so show your team spirit with a mouth guard in your team colour!

Brux Guards (Night Guards)

Brux guards, also referred to as night guards, are a custom designed appliance that is worn overnight to protect from clenching and grinding of the teeth, called Bruxism. Bruxism can cause headaches, jaw pain, tooth wear, and sensitivity among other symptoms and is most effectively treated with this simple appliance that is made right in office.
